15 naked guys and some friends in the stew

I think this was the most infamous title I ever wrote in this blog. Just to put it bluntly: I wasn't naked with 15 other guys and I wasn't in the stew.

Today I heard a strange storry about 15 guys standing naked in a 4°C cold river drinking southern comfort. No I didn't read this on the internet. One of the these 15 guys told me about that and told me that a foto of this 'event' is in a bar near this river. So I will go there to take a look at this picture one day.

Another guy today told me that he and some friends of him were in the stew. They were so drunk that they accidently payed a 'women that works there' for... ...you know what her work is?

But then, nobody wanted to go with her to let her do her job. After a heavy discussion about who has to follow her, someone - probably the most drunken one - followed her.

Strange stories.... ..but funny.

Where are you gone?

Watching the shadows wander...

A day described in 12 words:
black -> light -> cold -> red lights -> yellow wall -> riddles -> numbers -> streets -> warm -> food -> tv -> bed

It's not that hard to understand.

Common problems:

  • Amarok - doesn't work with last.fm - dont't know why.
  • Last Exit - another client for last.fm - maybe works - will try it today.
  • Insommnia - living with it since I was 14.
Coding is still fun. S-JIM gets better and better.

So where am I now?

Heaven? Hell? no idea.

My little binary baby

Do i sound stupid? Maybe, but who cares. Maybe I am a bit strange, but I like my little applications and I am very proud about every new application that works and I feel very honored if there are people using my creation.
My newest 'baby' is a Server/Client Chat application. It works great so far. At thoursday I will test the new version with improved GUI and Server with everybody who wants to join the test over the internet.

I built a little website for my little binary creations so that everyone who wants to can see what I did so far and read what I am planning to do next. I added a link to this page in the link section of this blog called "Project Coding for Fun".

let's call this the comeback

I don't know why, but since I got home yesterday evening my will to code and of course my knowledge and creativity about coding seem to be active again.
A long time I wasn't able to concentrate on coding stuff, but yesterday evening this changed.

One and a half month ago I started playing arround with Java ServerSockets and Java6. I did some tutorials (new Swing functionalities, etc..). After a while I found a Server/Client Tutorial. It was really interessting and so I started coding a little test application. I wanted to write a network chat application. I tried and tried and tried. It was so frustrating.

But yesterday everything worked so well and everything i tried worked. Now I have a running chatserver and a console based client and everything works fine.

I hope it will go on like this!

summer snow

This winter was a lot to warm so far. No snow at home and just a little bit in the mountains.
Slowly I got used to it - used to feel like it is March or April in Jannuary.
And guess what happened today... SNOW!

Not only a few snowflakes, it is really snowing. Everything is white outside.

I am very happy about having my gloves in my car, because today I will have to get all the snow off my car.

Please weather could you please make a decision about how you are and stay like that, so that I can get used to it again.

train of thoughts - Episode 1

...looking back at sunsets on the eastside...

Silence for too long...

Hit it!
Every year before christmas customers get giveaways from companies. Pens, wine, etc....
Have you ever thought about getting a xmas giveaway from a undertaker? Someone told me - she is working at an old people's home - that she got xmas giveaways from the undertaker. Isn't that wired? Crazy? Sarcastic? However.

Something else...

Need a coffee now.
